A packed lunch is included. Exploring the Hidden Heritage of West Galway, 16th July will include a tour of Ceantar na nOileán from a historical and archaeological perspective Muintearas Centre in Tír an Fhia, Leitir Móir. Visit to An Trá Bháin – Early Christian/Medieval Church Site - Fish Factory Remains and Memorial also on site. Also visiting Ionad Oidhreachta Leitir Mealláin (Heritage Centre) and view some historical military sites in the area. As part of the journey we will also view Crannógs in the Garumna Island region and have a commentary on the pre-history and history of the South Connemara Islands Region, and a packed lunch included.
